Prayer for County Fermanagh (in the province of Ulster)
Fhear Manach /Fermanay = men of Manach
Nickname: The lakeland county
Motto: ‘the country of the lakes’
• A third of the county is covered by lakes and waterways.
• It is the only NI county not to border Lough Neagh
• There is an extensive underground cave system.
• It relies on agriculture and tourism for its economy.
PRAYER:
The county has been soaked in prayer, from the time St. Molaise established a monastery on Devenish Island in the 6th century. By adding our petitions for revival to those of preceding generations, we can fill the bowls of heaven to tipping point.
Healing and restoration are still required in Enniskillen, regarding the Remembrance Sunday bomb of 1987. This has the potential to release forgiveness further afield (into Omagh and across Northern Ireland).
Pray for God to be at work calling the people of Fermanagh to himself.
Pray that God’s people will be refreshed & ready to serve however God has called them to.
Thank God for a number of churches coming together to pray for God to be at work in the island of Ireland.
Pray for answered prayer as people across Fermanagh call out to God.
The Presbyterian Mission asks us to “Give thanks for a growing hunger for God and His Gospel that is manifest in small but significant ways.”
