Lent Day 45
Good Friday. Always a strange name I think considering all that our Good shepherd went through for us. The shepherd becoming the sacrificial lamb. Suffering. Stricken. Pierced. Crushed. Laying down His life for the flock, for us! Yet when we think of all that Jesus has accomplished, the grace, the joyous outcome perhaps Good Friday is appropriate.
The words of this song have been in my heart and on my lips today!
Thank you for the cross, Lord
Thank you for the price You paid
Bearing all my sin and shame
In love You came
And gave amazing grace
Thank you for this love, Lord
Thank you for the nail pierced hands
Washed me in Your cleansing flow
Now all I know
Your forgiveness and embrace
Worthy is the Lamb
Seated on the throne
Crown You now with many crowns
