Call to Prayer – 3 May

At your own home

 #ACallToPrayIreland #ACTPI

This Sunday (3 May) there is a call going out for the people of God across the whole island of Ireland to join together in continuing to set aside one hour to pray for our Island in this difficult time of need. We suggest 3–4pm, but take whatever hour suits you best.  We are also encouraging as many as are able to consider fasting for some or all of the day.

In the last 10 minutes of that time we encourage everyone to humbly kneel as we cry out together to our Heavenly Father for His mercy and His help from heaven at this time of crisis and great need in our land and in the world.

So will you please join with us along with many others from the North, South, East and West of our island?

2 Chronicles 7:14 “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Please share this with others.

We have prepared some resources to help you structure your prayer is you wish to use them.  Some suggested prayers are in an easily printable .pdf file.  It is downloadable HERE.

To help involve the children with prayers we have a few resources available…

There are four videos…

This one contains ideas (from First Bangor Pres) for prayer activities.

This one is a short lesson (from Crown Jesus Ministries) on not being afraid.

This one is a short lesson (from Crown Jesus Ministries) for when we are sad and need reminded that God is in control.

This one is the latest from Crown Jesus Ministries.

In addition, there are two other resources…

This one is some ideas from Prayer Spaces in Schools and has ideas for prayer activities.  Their website is generally helpful and is found HERE.

This one is a Word file containing ideas (kindly provided from the Presbyterian Church) for prayer activities for children praying in these days.
