The Joy of Intercession – 40 day devotional
Beni Johnson
As you dive more deeply into the Father’s heart you will be overwhelmed by His presence – the fullness of joy. From this place you begin to see from His perspective. And as you see and understand His world we can pray and speak with fresh, delightful insight.
GDOP 2007
“A rising movement of prayer for renewal and revival has swept across Africa and the earth like an incoming tide. In 2006 hundreds of millions of Christians in 199 countries joined in repentance and prayer on the second ever Global Day of Prayer
On May 27th, from the rising of the sun in the east and across each time zone until it sets, we look forward to joining with many millions across the world responding to this call from God to humble ourselves and pray. As one body we will worship our Lord, celebrate His majestic grace, turn from our sins and offer ourselves as a blessing to the nations
Isaiah 66:18 says “And I, because of their actions and their imaginations, am about to come and gather all nations and tongues, and they will come and see My glory”.
We are excited and expectant to “see His glory” and encourage all Christians from every denomination, church, community and family to join in this special day of repentance and prayer.” - Graham Power, Global Day of Prayer
Global Day of Prayer in Northern Ireland
In the past two years people from many different churches gathered in Stormont Estate to take part in the Global Day of Prayer event. This year it was felt that rather than have one big event that by encouraging several smaller events throughout the province it would facilitate a greater number of people gathering together to pray. In addition the smaller events would provide opportunity for local churches to catch the vision and get more involved.
We are therefore really encouraged to see that in Northern Ireland on Pentecost Sunday, there will be Global Day of Prayer events taking place in the following different towns and cities. We would encourage you to support these events and to bring others along on the day.
